Neighbourhood Learning Research Closure Workshop. Feb

The following is a record of the discussions, which took
place during the final workshop for Neighbourhood Learning researchers.
Accreditation
A brief explanation was given to participants of the
accreditation process. Those interested in accreditation, completed forms.
Participatory research
Participants were asked to consider the approach to
research (participatory research) used during the work and discuss the positive
and negative aspects of its use and any suggested improvements.

'A better understanding of what is happening in the neighbourhoods
researched. I now feel I can become more involved with processes in my
own neighbourhood to involve others in creating a learning community'.

'Learnt that the most unlikely people can offer ideas
and suggestions. It is imperative that preconceived ideas about an
individual, due to their environment, be put to one side. Always be
prepared to learn from an individual no matter what circumstances'.
